Impression Kit
DELIVERY
Your impression kit will be dispatched within 1–3 working days of your order being placed.
Once shipped, you will receive a dispatch confirmation email with tracking information where applicable.
RETURNING YOUR IMPRESSION KIT
Once you have completed your impressions, please visit the "Impression Kit Returns" page.
This will guide you through how to safely package and send your impressions back to the studio, and request your pre-paid postage label (UK customers only) so your jewellery can be created.
TIMEFRAMES FOR RETURNING YOUR KIT
To ensure your materials are suitable for production and to allow for any changes in metal pricing:
- Silver pieces: impressions must be returned within 6 months
- Gold & platinum pieces: impressions must be returned within 3 months
If impressions are returned after these timeframes, we may need to review your order. In some cases, we will contact you to confirm any price difference based on current material costs at the time of production.
Dispatch Times
Once we receive your impression kit back in the studio, your piece will be carefully handcrafted.
Your piece will typically be completed within 3 weeks from the date we receive your impression. For orders with the add-on engraving service, this will take an additional 2-3 weeks.

Impression Mould Kit
In this kit you get a two-part silicone moulding material to create your very own keepsake mould. The mould you create will be used to “lift” the nose or paw print of your furry friend, where it is then applied to a wax ball (created by me). I will then return your mould for your safekeeping along with your finished piece.
FAQ
I have two dogs, can you make a double sided pendant?
Yes, absolutely! We can create a double sided pendant to represent both of your dogs.
How to order:
- Select the "mould impression kit" option when ordering your pendant
- Add an "additional moulding kit" to your order before checking out.
Please label each completed impression with your dogs' names before returning your kits. Make sure to note on your order slip that you would like your pendant double sided. There is no additional charge for creating a double sided pendant, aside from the additional moulding kit.

Can I have a ring made with both of my dog's nose prints?
Technically, yes — it is possible to create a half-and-half ring using two different prints.
However, due to the fine detail in nose and paw textures, the two prints may blend together, meaning it can be difficult to clearly distinguish between them in the final piece.
Our recommendation
A lovely alternative is to create two separate rings, each featuring one of your dog’s prints, and have them engraved with their names.
This allows each print to be clearly visible and creates two meaningful pieces you can wear together.
If you’d still like a half-and-half ring
You’re very welcome to go ahead with this option.
To order:
- Add your chosen ring to your cart
- Add an additional moulding kit to your order
- Make sure to note on your order card that you would like a half-and-half design
Can you create jewellery from my cat's impression?
Yes, absolutely!
Cat impressions work beautifully, especially nose prints, which have a unique and delicate texture that translates perfectly into jewellery.
We have also created custom pieces using cat paw prints, which make equally special keepsakes.
When will I receive my finished piece?
Once we receive your pet’s impression kit back in the studio, your piece will be carefully handcrafted.

Does engraving affect the timeframe?
Yes — if your piece includes engraving, please allow additional time:
- Engraved pieces typically require an extra 2–3 weeks before dispatch
When does the timeframe start?
Your production time begins once we receive your completed impression kit, not from the date of purchase.
Please note
- Each piece is handmade with care, so timelines may vary slightly during busy periods
- We will always do our best to complete your jewellery as quickly as possible without compromising on quality
If you require your piece by a certain date, please get in touch prior to placing your order. We can sometimes accommodate your request.
My kit won't get to me in time, what can I do?
We understand that sometimes time is very limited, and this can be an emotional and urgent situation.
If you’re concerned that your kit may not arrive in time, please contact us as soon as possible at info@rubytynanjewellery.co.uk.
We can provide guidance on:
- Where to source suitable moulding materials locally (Hobbycraft or Amazon etc)
- Options for urgent delivery or collection of impression putty
- The best way to take an impression safely and quickly
