Delivery & Returns

Delivery

Each piece of jewellery is handmade to order, just for you. Because of this, dispatch times vary and are shown on each individual product listing. These timeframes reflect the making time required before your order is shipped.

Please note that selecting a faster delivery service at checkout does not speed up production time.

Once your order has been completed and dispatched, you will receive an email confirmation with tracking information. If you haven’t received this after the stated dispatch timeframe, please check your junk or spam folder, or get in touch. Delivery times are estimates provided by Royal Mail and international carriers and may vary. While I will always ensure your order is dispatched on time, delivery once with the postal service is outside of my control.

Each piece is carefully made and checked before dispatch. Once your order has been handed over to the postal service, it is in the care of the delivery provider, but I will always support you in tracking or resolving any delivery issues wherever possible.

UK Delivery

We offer the following UK delivery options:

  • Free UK delivery on orders over £100
  • £3.95 – Royal Mail Tracked 48 (2–3 working days)
  • £4.50 – Royal Mail Tracked 24 (1–2 working days)
  • £10.00 – Royal Mail Special Delivery (next working day)

International Delivery

We ship worldwide using Royal Mail International services:

  • £15.00 – Royal Mail International Tracked
  • £50.00 – DHL International Express (estimated 1–3 working days after dispatch)

Delivery times vary depending on destination and local postal services. International orders may also be subject to customs processing, which can affect delivery times.

Customs, Duties & Taxes

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or handling fees charged by their country.

For US orders, any applicable tariffs are included in the product price. However, state sales tax and/or import duties may still be applied upon arrival depending on local regulations.

For EU orders, a minimum order value of £150 applies.

For all other international destinations, customs charges (if applicable) are set by your local authority and are outside of my control. These are not included in product or shipping costs.

If a parcel is returned due to unpaid customs fees, I may need to deduct return shipping costs from any refund issued.

Returns & Exchanges

If you are not 100% satisfied with your order and wish to return it, we offer full refunds (excluding postage upgrades) if you notify us within 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a refund, you must return your item within 14 days of notifying us that you would like a refund. Your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Please DO NOT send your item back to us without first notifying us that you would like to return your order. We request that you contact us first so that we can provide you with the correct return address. 

Orders may only be cancelled prior to the start of production. Once making has begun, cancellation is no longer possible.

Bespoke & Made-to-Order Pieces

Certain pieces from Ruby Tynan Jewellery is handmade to order, often created using your own personal impressions or requirements.

Because of this bespoke nature, these items are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right under UK distance selling regulations. As a result, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for change of mind or incorrect sizing once an order has been placed.

Please ensure all details are checked carefully before ordering. If you are unsure at any stage, you are very welcome to get in touch prior to purchase.

This does not affect your statutory rights. If an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with UK consumer law.

Faulty or Damaged Items

Each piece is carefully inspected before dispatch. If your order arrives with an issue, please contact me within 7 days of receipt, including your order number and photographs of the item.

Where appropriate, a repair, replacement, or refund will be offered.

Ring Sizing

As all rings are made to order, we are unable to offer exchanges for incorrect sizing.

Some designs can be resized, where stated on the product listing. However, certain pieces (including star set diamond rings) cannot be resized due to their construction. Other items (for example where the engraving is features around the entirety of the ring) can only be resized by up to two sizes.
