In the UK, it’s the law to hallmark precious metal items over certain weights. We hallmark our jewellery at the Birmingham Assay office. Stamped or laser marked with our makers mark to assure our customers of its quality.

• The Sponsor’s Mark shows who made the item. This is usually initials inside a shape, identifying the maker (you can see RT on the inside of this ring)
• The Fineness mark tells you the metal purity, like 375 for 9ct gold or 925 for sterling silver.
• The Assay Office Mark reveals where the item was tested. You can see the Anchor on the inside of this ring, detailing that it was hallmarked in Birmingham.

We work exclusively with solid gold and sterling silver - never plated metals.

Plated jewellery, while initially appealing in cost, typically involves a base metal (like brass or copper) coated with a thin layer of gold or silver. This outer layer wears off quickly, leading to short product life and frequent replacements. The plating process also relies on toxic chemicals such as cyanide and nitric acid, which can be harmful to both people and ecosystems when not properly managed.

By crafting with solid precious metals, we ensure our jewellery is made to last for generations, with no hidden layers or compromises. It’s a cleaner, safer, and far more sustainable choice, both for you and the planet.

We source our natural gemstones responsibly, working only with partners who uphold fair labour practices and transparent supply chains. Each gemstone is traceable, ensuring it has been mined and handled with care and respect for both people and the environment.

We also offer lab-grown diamonds. Chemically identical to mined diamonds, lab-grown diamonds are exactly that, created in controlled environments, often with significantly lower environmental and ethical impact. Each diamond is selected for its brilliance, sustainability, traceability and authenticity.

This is why it often takes several weeks to find you the perfect stone.

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond the jewellery itself. Every order is packaged using FSC-certified materials from responsibly managed forests. By using FSC-certified packaging, we support responsible forestry, where no more trees are cut down than the forest can reproduce. It also ensures that the animal and plant life in these forests are protected and that the forest workers are properly trained, have decent working conditions, and receive a fair wage.

Our postal packaging is fully recyclable and designed with minimal waste in mind, without compromising on protection. Our parcel tape is compostable and recyclable paper, which has been printed using soy-based inks.
