FAQs

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Check each jewellery item as dispatch times may differ (typically 1-3 days). After your item has been dispatched it will take around two to three days to arrive, however Royal Mail advise that first class parcels may take up to seven working days to arrive.

How is your jewellery packaged?

Most pieces of Ruby Tynan Jewellery come packaged in small white gift boxes, sent by large letter post, with the exemption of stud earrings, which come packaged on small white branded gift cards.

Do you take wholesale orders?

Yes, I do. If you are interested in placing a wholesale order, please contact me for prices.

I am allergic to some metals, is your jewellery safe?

As sterling silver is naturally aseptic, it is often a popular choice for those with sensitive skin. However, sterling silver consists of 92.5% silver and 7.5% other materials, including copper, zinc, nickel, germanium and platinum. Therefore, those with sensitivity to these materials should be careful when choosing to wear sterling silver.

I am unsure of my ring size, can you help me?

Yes, of course. Here is a conversion chart.

This is a gift; can you leave out the invoice?

Actually, paper invoices are never included. You will, however, receive an invoice via email. If you would like a paper invoice, please contact me or leave a message at the checkout.

My silver is tarnishing, what is wrong?

Nothing is wrong. It is natural for sterling silver to tarnish over time. Tarnishing is caused by the oxidation of the copper in sterling silver. Humidity and moisture can exacerbate tarnish, so be sure to remove your jewellery before showering, swimming, or washing up. Also, when you take your jewellery off, be sure to store it in a dry area, preferably in a pouch. If your jewellery has tarnished, it is best to clean it right away. To do this, simply use a silver polishing cloth. If the polishing cloth doesn’t remove all of the tarnish, wash your jewellery with some warm water and a drop of washing up liquid (gently rub with a toothbrush). If tarnish has been left for a long time, you may need to take your jewellery to a local jeweller's to have it professionally cleaned.

Do you take custom orders?

Absolutely! I love when customers challenge me with new ideas. You can either contact me with an alteration to my designs, or enquire about a whole new design that you may have in mind.

If you have a question that wasn’t answered here, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
