Nothing is wrong. It is natural for sterling silver to tarnish over time. Tarnishing is caused by the oxidation of the copper in sterling silver. Humidity and moisture can exacerbate tarnish, so be sure to remove your jewellery before showering, swimming, or washing up. Also, when you take your jewellery off, be sure to store it in a dry area, preferably in a pouch. If your jewellery has tarnished, it is best to clean it right away. To do this, simply use a silver polishing cloth. If the polishing cloth doesn’t remove all of the tarnish, wash your jewellery with some warm water and a drop of washing up liquid (gently rub with a toothbrush). If tarnish has been left for a long time, you may need to take your jewellery to a local jeweller's to have it professionally cleaned.Do you take custom orders?
